In honor of the awesome upcoming Thanksgiving holiday (soooo ready to stuff my face! woot!) I will be posting something that I am...what else?....grateful for every day. The key to making a gratitude list super powerful, I've learned, is to get pretty specific. While it's nice to say "I am grateful for my health", it's far more perspective-shifting-positive-mojo-boosting to dive into the nitty gritty of why, specifically, your health is a point of gratitude. I've found the more time we spend on the reasons why life knocks our socks off, the more apparent, frequent and fabulous these reasons become. Let's begin, shall we? Day One: I am incredibly grateful for the gift of yoga at work. Weebly allows us to enjoy a healthy, mind/body/soul stretching work out in our office twice a month with the super rad Lindsey. We provide the mats, have an in-office shower for post yoga de-stinkafying and even sometimes make juices and smoothies afterward. I am so happy when folks step outside of their normal work out comfort zones to give yoga a shot; this practice has made such a difference in my life and I'm loving watching the team get into it as well. For me, yoga is the perfect combination of a getting a good sweat and strengthening my physical self while also training in the practice of being present. It helps me re-center and come back to myself, which is a huge blessing. I can't think of a better way to spend an hour break at work! Day Two: Oh wait. I can think of one other way to spend a break at work that is preeeettty swell.... Chair massages! Twice a month we also get treated to massages here at Weebly. I'm thankful for the loving touch of our massage therapists and the way my muscles feel refreshed after just 20 minutes with them. Getting regular massages is such a luxury--I'd never have the (smart) budget for it otherwise, so this is a real treat for me.
Anyone interested in keeping a 30 Days of Thanks journal with me? I'd love to hear from you! Happy Friday :) In Gratitude, Trish
